In an announcement made by YouTube themselves, the video content streaming site announced that a billion hours of YouTube content is consumed by people around the world every single day. To put that in perspective, a billion hours is equivalent to over 100,000 years.

Seeing as YouTube has been experiencing steady growth over the years, it isn’t too farfetched to say that the video streaming site could break further milestones over the course of the year. That being said, there are some parts of the service that could do with improvements, like the highly controversial Content ID system that YouTube implements.
